The course has been designed to be inspiring and thought provoking throughout the three day duration and aims to establish a true understanding of what is really required in Health and Safety Legislation, rather than what is often portrayed in the media.

Whilst the course is available commercially in many different formats, and via many different organisations, by choosing ISAC (UK) Ltd you will not only get the full IOSH Managing Safely package but will also benefit from the wealth of at least 17yrs of hands-on H&S experience of our presenters too.

This is a live, tutor led, virtual version via MS Teams emcompassing all of the course's full videos, sound files and risk assessment practicals from the face to face version plus more real life examples from our trainers.

For over 20 years our lecturers have been responsible for delivering a number of other high quality IOSH Continuous Professional Development courses directly for IOSH and also for some of the largest organistaions in the UK. Indeed, the quality of our lecturers is so renowned that we get a very high number of returnee businesses specifically wanting to do courses delivered by them.

Course Outline

Lecturers: Geoff Hornby and Alex Sammut

This IOSH Approved Managing Safely course follows a set structure, however, our lecturers enhance the modules with their own 1st hand experiences of real life situations, ensuring that up-to-the minute information and relevant real life examples are discussed with the delegates in the room, giving them the complete package.

The basic outline for the three days is:

  • Introduction to Managing
  • Safely Assessing risk
  • Controlling risk
  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • Identifying hazards
  • Investigating accidents and incidents
  • Measuring performance
  • Protecting our environment

Our lecturers will ensure that delegates will have a complete understanding of their roles with regards to Health and Safety within their businesses and that they take away with them all of the necessary information and resources that they require to hit the ground running.

To assist with this, each delegate will prove their competence by completing a 45-minute assessment and will also undertake in a practical project that is carried out within their actual workplace. (which is submitted to ISAC within 2 weeks for marking)
