Our flagship course. This was the first of our courses to be commissioned and Approved by IOSH over 20 years ago and ultimately formed the basis of all of our long running IOSH Approved courses that have been delivered through their Continuous Professional Development course program.

A two-day course that aims to be practical in its approach and in its application. It includes classroom worked assessments and (In-House Course Only) an actual assessment carried out in the client's working environment.

Defined as the 'mandatory CoSHH Course' within many organisations throughout a wide range of industries.

Course Outline

This IOSH Modern CoSHH Management course is intended to provide candidates with the knowledge to safely manage hazardous substances in the workplace, as well as devise & implement an effective CoSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) management system.

The 2-day programme is designed to give delegates a thorough overview of all the components of an effective CoSHH management strategy, focusing on the key topics of risk assessment and compliance. At the same time, it addresses the more practical aspects related to:

  • planning local exhaust ventilation test programmes & analysing their results
  • planning first level air monitoring studies and higher level monitoring reports
  • designing a health screening policy
  • implementing a protective equipment testing & inspection system
  • developing an instruction system for handling hazardous substances

This IOSH Modern CoSHH Management course is suitable for health & safety professionals and anyone responsible for CoSHH assessment and/or management.

Qualification

Successful completion of this course results in the delegate gaining an IOSH Approved Certificate in Modern CoSHH Management. In addition, this course can also result in CPD hours towards maintaining your membership at your professional institute.
